Pearl & Pear Event
Back for it’s second year, Palace Pearls of Wisdom in collaboration with the ever-beautiful Banqueting House saw guests enjoy a jam-packed day of inspiration and information.
Hosting some of London’s finest industry professionals, we wanted to give back – to provide a day solely focused on self-growth and care.
We would like to share a few words from our attendees….
“An education and an indulgence, so just great!”
“Thank you for a really inspirational afternoon. It was a real pleasure to listen to such a brilliant group of women talking about every day challenges and how to overcome them. I signed up for positive pants today, what an amusing thing to write 😊”
“A HUGE thank you for today. I can’t call it an event as it was so much more than that. I had no idea how much I needed that until the panel came on. It couldn’t have come at a better time, the past two weeks have been hard but this has given the much needed buzz again. Thank you to you and to everyone who made today happen. We were also spoilt, the panel was absolutely brilliant and Anya Hindmarch… she has won an extra fan or two today. Next time I’m on Bond St. I’m going into her shop again for sure! Anyway, this was to say thank you!! Today’s event would have been hard work but please know it was hugely hugely appreciated!”
“I’d like to say a big thank you, we had a really fab day out and it provided a brilliant incite into all of the other aspects of the events we play a small part in. It’s also not often we get to rub shoulders with such an inspirational bunch of people and we have come away with lots of ideas on how we can get the work/life balance right – this I needed hugely being the stress head at our company. Thank’ s again wonderful people.”
“A great afternoon spent learning new skills, networking in the industry and being inspired. Felt very much a supportive event for those in the events industry, rather than a ‘showing off show case”
Throughout the afternoon, guests were welcomed with so many picture-perfect moments starting off with the catering…
Instagrammable Catering by Zafferano
“We wanted to create a fun, vibrant, colourful, on trend eating and drinking experience which appealed to the mainly female audience and was just a little bit….well…Zaffy! We hit upon a Hoké Poké station which combined healthy, colourful and zingy Polynesian flavours in a theatrical, interactive way, allowing guests to choose between multi coloured tacos or fresh salad bowls which they could dress, garnish and adorn to their hearts content. To balance the zero carb approach we also circulated meltingly soft Pork belly with pigs skin noodles and vegan Crispy tofu buddah bowls and offered a tongue in cheek “Club Tropicana” dessert station where Bart, our pastry chef served Halo Haloto order – a delicious combination of shaved ice, sweetened condensed milk and fresh fruit.
First Impressions
Guests then made their way up the extraordinary staircase designed by Royal florist, Philippa Craddock. We believe first impressions are important so this wild and wonderful dressing of the staircase was just perfection.
Twilight Trees
“The Banqueting House has elements of gold woven throughout and it made the perfect venue to launch our new ‘ Gold Forest’. We created a walkway with an eclectic range of gold trees in varying heights which gave an artistic and fun nature to the display. The walkway was designed to be an experience and working with WowGrass we achieved something really quite special.”
The Furniture
We wanted to introduce our guests to a mix of both modern and more traditional items of furniture within the set up at Banqueting House. Combining Locate To Create with Juno Hire added real personality and character to the event.
A few words from Holly at Locate to Create…
‘It was so exciting for us at Locate to Create to once again be asked to join Palace Pearls of Wisdom. We specialize in the supply of Vintage, Rustic and Boho pieces of furniture, many of which are often one off unique statement pieces. Mixing our traditional items with the more contemporary style of furniture supplied, by Juno, resulted in a stunning mix of old and new, adding personality and character, creating visual interest with a real yin and yang.”

Lets Talk Wellbeing
As we all know, the event industry is a fast-paced wonderful world however it has also been voted the 5th most stressful job to have. On that note, Palace Pearls of Wisdom discussed all things wellbeing – focusing on work-life balance, goal setting and reaching those goals. We are incredibly excited to bring together a successful panel of experts in their field. Our panel included:
Rachel Kelly a writer, speaker, international best-selling author and mental health campaigner. In her 30’s Rachel had two major depressive episodes which became defining events in her life. She is now passionate about educating and breaking down the stigma around mental health.
Camilla Mary-Rose – global leader in Digital Marketing, Camilla has worked for world-renowned brands to drive cultural-change and shareable moments. Camilla makes us feel like we could conquer the world with our Instagram account!
Sarah Kay – manages several successful businesses and still manages to find the work-life balance. Her revolutionary gold @lifting_pretty weights sell out within minutes of re-stocking and the events she organises are never forgotten no matter how much champagne is popped…
Holly Clark – named as one of the top society photographers by Harrods (2018) and the preferred photographer to Historic Royal Palaces, Holly prides herself on providing a truly beautiful, personal service.
Fran Excell – mindset and positivity coach and an excellent goal setter. She’ll made us look at our lives differently and helped us with methods to help achieve our goals. The glass is always half full…
